COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Protocol

Employee shall wear a mask at all times if they return to work before a full 10 days have passed since the first positive COVID-19 test.

Symptomatic employee should test as soon as possible to determine infection status. If infected within the previous 31-90 days, use of an antigen test is recommended. If first test is negative, test again 1-2 days after first test. Repeat testing every 1-2 days if symptoms persist or until symptoms improve or test is positive.

Required Notice of Potential Exposure to COVID-19

AB 685, which became effective Jan. 1, 2021, added Section 6409.6 to the California Labor Code requiring employers to notify employees of a potential worksite exposure to COVID-19 and to notify the local public health agency should an outbreak occur on the worksite. AB 2693, effective Jan. 1, 2023, amended the law to permit alternative notification to employees. It extends the notification requirement to Jan. 1, 2024.
