Dentists can use CDA’s new Practice Health Check to evaluate Cal/OSHA documentation compliance this winter

January 16, 2024

With a new year come fresh opportunities to review and set goals for improvement. Compliance with Cal/OSHA-required documentation is one area where many practices have room for growth.
Each quarter, CDA publishes a Practice Health Check focusing on a different topic related to the business side of dentistry. Compliance with Cal/OSHA requirements for your practice’s illness and injury prevention plan, exposure control plan and record retention are on the radar during this first quarter of 2024.

CDA members are invited to take the Q1 Practice Health Check consisting of just three questions:

  1. Do you have a written illness and injury prevention plan?
  1. Do you have a written exposure control plan?
  1. Are you aware of Cal/OSHA’s record-retention requirements?

For guidance on creating qualifying illness and injury and exposure control plans and retaining required records, start the Practice Health Check now and follow the links to additional CDA resources to help you stay in compliance.

CDA launched the quarterly Practice Health Check in 2021. Members can review all Practice Health Checks online.
