The primary cause of tooth pain is a dental disease that ends up sometimes needing restorative work, root canal treatment or even extraction. What if the pain persists beyond the dental treatment? Would this be a medical condition related to jaw or head and neck issues? This lecture will discuss how to recognize, differentiate and manage dental pain due to medical (Non-odontogenic) conditions and how to collaborate with an orofacial pain specialist on management.
