Develop a letter to respond to a notice of an employee’s absence due to Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL). Respond within 10 calendar days of the request or no later than the following payday, whichever is sooner. Use this letter to document PDL leave agreements and establish the terms of leave. Use this letter if the employee is only eligible for PDL. Employers of 5 or more employees may need to provide additional CFRA leave for eligible employees.
