The August issue of the Journal of the California Dental Association focuses on strategies dentists can use to help their patients stop using tobacco. Articles examine the periapical pathosis in smokers versus nonsmokers, the association between cannabis use and oral health and the prevention of tobacco use among children and adolescents.
“This issue presents evidence of the dangers of tobacco use to oral health and offers practical, actionable recommendations for providing better tobacco prevention and cessation support for our patients,” said Kerry K. Carney, DDS, editor-in-chief.
This Journal issue also features proceedings from the 2019 CDA symposium on geriatrics and oral health.
The Journal of the California Dental Association is an award-winning peer-reviewed scientific publication that keeps dentists up to date about scientific advances, business management strategies and new products.
