The June issue of the Journal of the California Dental Association focuses on rapidly developing new technologies in prosthodontics and the importance of continuing to follow proven principles and adhering to evidence-based practice to better serve patients as these new technologies evolve. The articles were written with the collaboration of dental educators and students at four dental schools across the country.
“This issue gives us an introduction on how we are able to merge the important ‘old-time’ prosthodontic principles with newer technologies that are used to assist both the practitioner and the teacher alike,” said Kerry K. Carney, DDS, editor-in-chief of the CDA Journal.
Articles in this issue include:
- “Interdisciplinary Approach for the Oral Rehabilitation of an Ectodermal Dysplasia Patient” by Konstantinos Chochlidakis, DDS, MS
- “Computer-Engineered Complete Dentures: Where Are We Now? A Review” by Sarah Bukhari, BDS, MS
