The downloadable logo is the property of the California Dental Association (“CDA”) but may be used by CDA members in good standing in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below. Use of the logo shall constitute consideration for, agreement to, and acceptance of the following terms and conditions of this license by the user:

  1.  The logo is the sole and exclusive property of CDA. The logo may be used only by CDA members in good standing if and only if such use is made pursuant to the terms and conditions of this limited and revocable license. Any failure by a user to comply with the terms and conditions contained herein may result in the immediate revocation of this license, in addition to any other sanctions imposed by CDA. The interpretation and enforcement (or lack thereof) of these terms and conditions, and compliance therewith, shall be made by CDA in its sole discretion.
  2. The logo is made available to CDA members in good standing in camera-ready, digital form in color and/or black. The logo may not be revised or altered in any way, and must be displayed in the same form as produced by CDA. The logo is a single color. The official color of the logo is Pantone Matching System (PMS) 144. The logo must be printed in its official color (white on PMS 144) or in black (black on white).
  3. The logo may be used in a professional manner on the user’s business cards, stationery, literature, advertisements, signage, websites, social media sites, online business profiles, email signatures, online directories, or in any other comparable manner to signify the user’s membership in CDA. However, the logo may not be used in any manner that, in the sole discretion of CDA: discredits CDA or tarnishes its reputation and goodwill; is false or misleading; violates the rights of others; violates any law, regulation, or other public policy; violates any ethical principle or rule of the CDA Code of Ethics; or mischaracterizes the relationship between CDA and the user, including but not limited to any use of the logo that might be reasonably construed as an endorsement, approval, sponsorship, or certification by CDA of the user, or the user’s dental practice or dental corporation, or the user’s dental services, or that might be reasonably construed as support or encouragement to utilize the user’s dental services. In addition, if the user is incorporated for the purpose of practicing dentistry, the entity must be wholly owned and operated by CDA members and all dentists employed or contracted to provide dental services for the corporation must be CDA members.
  4. Use of the logo shall create no rights for users in or to the logo of its use beyond the terms and conditions of this limited and revocable license. The logo shall remain at all times the sole and exclusive intellectual property of CDA. CDA shall the right, from time to time, to request samples of use of the logos from which it may determine compliance with these terms and conditions. Without further notice, CDA reserves the right to prohibit use of the logo if it determines, in its sole discretion, that a user’s logo usage, whether willful or negligent, is not in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of this license, otherwise could discredit CDA or tarnish its reputation and goodwill, or the user is not a CDA member in good standing.
  5. Any questions concerning use of the logo or the terms and conditions of this license should be directed to [email protected].
