The use of all-ceramic crowns has increased dramatically and this presentation will describe and compare the two most commonly used materials (zirconia and lithium disilicate) based on tooth translucency, presence of a definite zone of dentin coloration, tooth discoloration, and use on teeth with limited amount of tooth reduction. The presentation will show many examples of single maxillary anterior teeth restored with both types of crowns, a procedure considered one of the most esthetically challenging treatments to provide.
