OSHA, Infection Control and CDPA

April 6 @ 9:00 am 1:30 pm PDT

OSHA / Infection Control with Eiman Rahnama: In the United States, the government agency responsible for worker safety is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration otherwise known as OSHA.

OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens standard is a federal OSHA regulation (29 CFR 1910.1030) that prescribes safeguards to protect staff against health hazards from exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials and to reduce their risk from this exposure. In some states, it has been mandated that all Medical and Dental Staff do Aerosol Transmitted Diseases (ATD) training once a year to prevent the spread of ATDs.

CDPA with Levi Barlavi: This course will satisfy the Category I Course requirement for the California Dental Practice Act. Upon completion of this course, the attendee will have a comprehensive understanding of the laws of the Dental Practice Act. The review of the laws and the cases shall give the attendee a better understanding of how the laws of the Dental Practice Act and their individual actions can impact their ability to practice dentistry in the state of California. In addition, this course will review all recent changes in the laws of the Dental Practice Act.
