After attending the Part 1 lecture presentation, this workshop will help you put the pieces together so that you have the knowledge and skills, to work as a team and save a life. In this hands-on workshop, you will work through several task-trainer-based stations that will help you practice patient monitoring and assessment, airway management, and medication preparation and delivery, all of which will help you become able to recognize a patient requiring urgent or emergent care and initiate evaluation and management in the dental setting. Dr. Manton will familiarize you with the preparation and delivery of the essential drugs you need in your emergency medical kit. Through hands-on practice, you will become more prepared, confident, and competent.
