Cyber Resilience and HIPAA Compliance

October 15 @ 5:30 pm 7:00 pm PDT

Cyberattacks and ransomware continue to threaten healthcare organizations of every size. These incidents can result in the theft of highly sensitive information, putting your patients at increased risk of identity theft and fraud. Dental practices also suffer the financial impacts of forced appointment rescheduling and delayed claims processing.

As these targeted threats increase, the U.S. Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights is focused on enforcing HIPAA Security Rule compliance. This rule establishes the minimum requirements necessary for the protection of electronic protected health information (PHI).

During the first of our two-part webinar series on cybersecurity, learn how to stay compliant with the OCR’s requirements and protect your patients’ sensitive health information.

Learning objectives:

  1. Understand how a risk analysis can help you mitigate information system vulnerabilities.
  2. Learn the necessary actions to strengthen your dental practice’s cyber resilience.
  3. Know where to look for HIPAA compliance assistance.

This is part one of a two-part webinar series. Register for part two, Cybersecurity in the Age of AI: Strategies for Dental Practices.
