Clinical Occlusion: Tips to Minimize Restoration Fractures

June 27 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm PDT

Likely to be the least well-understood topic for both recent graduates and seasoned dentists, OCCLUSION doesn’t need to be so complicated! This course will focus on how to perform a functional diagnosis, and how to predict which patients will have issues that may affect restoration longevity. Techniques will be described to troubleshoot occlusal mysteries that ultimately have simple solutions. Selecting the best materials for restoration longevity is smart but adjusting and polishing these materials within the functional and parafunctional occlusal framework is even smarter! Dr. Stevenson will provide real world clinical examples to show the solutions to common dental challenges.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how to render a functional diagnosis
  • Learn how to take an accurate CR record and know when it’s indicated
  • How to minimize ceramic fractures by understanding the materials and prep designs
  • Learn how to implement the 5-Step Occlusal Harmony finishing and adjusting protocol
  • How digital occlusal technology will make occlusal adjustments more precise
