Total Team Concept for Effective Scheduling

Speaker: Lois Banta

Description:
Learn the secrets of effective scheduling. It seems so simple, but it’s not. In reality, here is what happens: last-minute cancellations, procedures that take longer than expected, grumpy patients in the reception room, grumpier staff members blaming each other (or the dentist). Good scheduling guarantees happier doctors, staff, and patients. And… when everyone is happy, your bottom line will be healthier.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Use effective communication to improve patient conversations, treatment acceptance, and care quality.
  • Design and manage scheduling systems to cut cancellations, reduce no‑shows, and support practice goals.
  • Implement patient‑centered planning and continuing care to build trust, retain patients, and ensure quality.
