DESCRIPTION:Topics covered will include: \n\n\n\nIdentify the Specific Safety Plans Required by OSHAUnderstand What the Infection Control Regulations Are for CaliforniaIdentify Common Errors With Infection Control and Safety This course will fulfill important requirements all in one day! \n\n\n\nAll licensed dental professionals are required by the Dental Board of California to take an infection control class and a California Dental Practice class biennially for licensure renewal. However\, let us not forget that Cal/OSHA has annual training requirements for personnel who work in an environment that have a risk of occupational exposure to blood- borne pathogens and/or hazardous chemicals. Cal/OSHA requires all dental professionals to take an annual course in blood-borne pathogen training\, plus an annual hazard communication training program. The program offers 6 hours/6 C.E. of up-to-date information in an interactive\, streamlined presentation. The course satisfies requirements for license renewal and for Cal/OSHA regulations. Qualifies for C.E. Credit – Core Course. \n\n\n\nLeslie Canham\, CDA\, RDA\, is a nationally recognized speaker and consultant specializing in infection control\, OSHA compliance\, Dental Practice Act and HIPAA regulations. Her programs are highly interactive with audience participation to educate and entertain. In the dental field since 1972\, Ms. Canham’s experience and expertise helps dental professionals reduce risks and comply with regulations. She is authorized by the Department of Labor as an OSHA Outreach Trainer in general industry standards and a board-approved provider of the mandatory 8-hour infection control course for unlicensed dental assistants.
