SUMMARY:Responsibilities and Requirements of Prescribing Schedule II Opioids
DESCRIPTION:Opioid misuse and overdose are at an epidemic level in the state and the country\, driven by a myriad of factors including COVID\, poverty\, homelessness\, mental illness\, and professional overprescribing of opioids. This course aims to address the complex issues associated with substance use disorders and the role of dental professionals in addressing the opioid crisis by screening for substance use disorders\, referring patients for sobriety and recovery support\, and providing evidence-based pain management. This course satisfies the biennial mandatory course requirement of opioid training for California dental licensees and the DEA MATE requirement for registrant renewal. \n\n\n\nLearning Objectives: \n\n\n\n\nEvidence-based strategies for dental pain management\n\n\n\nTo identify patients at risk or with a substance use disorder\n\n\n\nThe requirements as a prescriber and dispenser of Schedule II opioids

Other types of prohibited harassment\, discrimination\, retaliation\, and abusive conduct will also be covered in an interactive format. \n\n\n\nSupervisors will learn how to recognize problems and about their responsibility in the prevention of sexual harassment\, discrimination\, retaliation\, and abusive conduct. Topics include reporting\, bystander intervention\, investigating and resolving complaints\, parameters of confidentiality\, and practical tips on how to stay out of trouble and keep your workplace harassment-free. \n\n\n\nIn the past\, only California employers with 50 or more employees were required to provide sexual harassment prevention training—and only to supervisors. Effective 1/1/19\, SB1343 requires all California employers with five (5) or more employees to provide harassment prevention training.

SUMMARY:Harassment Prevention Training – For Supervisors/Employers
DESCRIPTION:Training on how to prevent workplace harassment is now mandatory for almost all California employers (five [5] or more employees)\, and California Employers Association is here to help with Harassment Prevention Training that meets California’s legal requirement. \n\n\n\nThis course is a 2-hour instructor-led session where employees will engage in discussions on all forms of sexual harassment (verbal\, visual\, and physical). Other types of prohibited harassment\, discrimination\, retaliation\, and abusive conduct will also be covered in an interactive format. Supervisors will learn how to recognize problems and about their responsibility in the prevention of sexual harassment\, discrimination\, retaliation\, and abusive conduct.  \n\n\n\nTopics include reporting\, bystander intervention\, investigating and resolving complaints\, parameters of confidentiality\, and practical tips on how to stay out of trouble and keep your workplace harassment-free. \n\n\n\nIn the past\, only California employers with 50 or more employees were required to provide sexual harassment prevention training—and only to supervisors. Effective 1/1/19\, SB1343 requires all California employers with five (5) or more employees to provide harassment prevention training.
