SUMMARY:Single-Tooth Implant and Implant Fixed Complete Denture Postplacement / Oral Hygiene Care with Dr. Kepic\, and Which type of all-ceramic crown will produce the best esthetic result? Zirconia or lithium disilicate? with Dr. Goodacre
DESCRIPTION:Session 1: Single-Tooth Implant and Implant Fixed Complete Denture Postplacement / Oral Hygiene Care with Dr. Thomas KepicOne of the more popular topics in dentistry is the treatment of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Numerous treatment approaches exist to address these conditions\, yet they often yield limited success. This presentation aims to provide attendees with comprehensive information on maintaining oral hygiene\, starting from the initial implant placement\, and continuing through to long-term care. It will also cover proper instrumentation\, techniques\, and various medications\, highlighting those that may contribute to or impede successful outcomes.Session 2: Which type of all-ceramic crown will produce the best esthetic result? Zirconia or lithium disilicate? with Dr. Charles GoodacreThe use of all-ceramic crowns has increased dramatically and this presentation will describe and compare the two most commonly used materials (zirconia and lithium disilicate) based on tooth translucency\, presence of a definite zone of dentin coloration\, tooth discoloration\, and use on teeth with limited amount of tooth reduction. The presentation will show many examples of single maxillary anterior teeth restored with both types of crowns\, a procedure considered one of the most esthetically challenging treatments to provide.

Ways will be explored for moving away from talking about theory toward doing good for oral health. \n\n\n\nLearning Objectives: Define and identify examples of the ethics of judgement and justification and the morality of professional engagement and leadership. Discuss current situations in dental practice that offer opportunities for professional improvement. Craft and use language scripts that promote morality. \n\n\n\nBreakfast and Registration: 8:30am-10:00am; Lecture: 10:00am-1:00pm

SUMMARY:OSHA\, Infection Control and CDPA
DESCRIPTION:OSHA / Infection Control with Eiman Rahnama: In the United States\, the government agency responsible for worker safety is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration otherwise known as OSHA. \n\n\n\nOSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens standard is a federal OSHA regulation (29 CFR 1910.1030) that prescribes safeguards to protect staff against health hazards from exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials and to reduce their risk from this exposure. In some states\, it has been mandated that all Medical and Dental Staff do Aerosol Transmitted Diseases (ATD) training once a year to prevent the spread of ATDs. \n\n\n\nCDPA with Levi Barlavi: This course will satisfy the Category I Course requirement for the California Dental Practice Act. Upon completion of this course\, the attendee will have a comprehensive understanding of the laws of the Dental Practice Act. The course will review the laws of the Dental Practice Act and will review the numerous dental board cases applying such laws. The review of the laws and the cases shall give the attendee a better understanding of how the laws of the Dental Practice Act and their individual actions can impact their ability to practice dentistry in the state of California. In addition\, this course will review all recent changes in the laws of the Dental Practice Act.
