She serves as a group practice director\, teaching in the treatment planning clinic and overseeing students’ patient management. Driven by her commitment to wellness and informed by her public health background\, Dr. Yaghmai founded the Integrative Mind Body Wellness Initiative (IMBWI). The initiative promotes self-care\, resilience and stress-management skills among UCLA dental students. Dr. Yaghmai currently serves as IMBWI’s director and she’s also an active member of CDA\, the Iranian Dental Association and several other professional organizations and community outreach initiatives. She is also the co-founder of the T1D Oral Health Foundation\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the oral health challenges faced by individuals living with Type 1 diabetes\, an often overlooked condition in dentistry.
