Student research highlighted in July Journal

The July issue of the Journal of the California Dental Association features the research of students and their mentors from three California universities — the University of California Los Angeles, San Diego State University and the Western University of Health Sciences School of Dentistry.

Articles discuss pediatric oral health and vulnerable populations, a pilot study that examines the results of an oral health educational intervention with caregivers, child misbehavior in the dental office, factors associated with Hispanic children’s dental utilization in one California county, how teledental technologies can be used to expedite oral health intervention, and a survey of the practices of dental students in treating patients with special health care needs.

The Journal is an award-winning peer-reviewed scientific publication that keeps dentists up to date about scientific advances, business management strategies and new products.
