Return smiles on Dec. 2, Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday, a global movement that channels the generous spirit of the holiday season to inspire action around charitable giving, is set to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The CDA Foundation is participating in Giving Tuesday with an effort to raise funds for CDA Cares, which provides oral health care at no charge to Californians who experience barriers to care.

Giving Tuesday was founded in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation. To date, the team of influencers and founding partners involved in the campaign have engaged more than 10,000 organizations worldwide.

Those who would like to make a donation to the CDA Foundation and transform a life this holiday season can go to cdafoundation.org/givingtuesday on Dec. 2 and click the "Donate" button.

The CDA Foundation can leverage donations so that every $1 donated equates to $11 in care. As little as $25 can provide a full set of dentures for a CDA Cares attendee. A $10 donation can provide a filling to eliminate the pain of a cavity so that a person can better focus at school and work. What’s more, the dentures provided at CDA Cares create functional, esthetic dentures in hours, helping people regain self-confidence.

This video from CDA Cares San Diego illustrates the impact a donation to the CDA Foundation can have.
