Interprofessional education and practice featured in CDA Journal

The March issue of the Journal of the California Dental Association is dedicated to interprofessional education and practice (IPEP), a profound systemic change from the traditional educational model of training professionals to be dental surgeons working in solo private practice to those who utilize disease management protocols and surgical intervention working in a variety of collaborative and multidisciplinary practice settings.

Articles include:

- A commentary on whether health care reform can connect mouth and body.
- An article on innovations in oral health education and practice.
- A discussion on a population health management approach to oral health.
- Four integrated care case studies from providers in Oregon, Wisconsin, Ohio and Minnesota.
