How to get the most out of CDA Presents Anaheim

CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry is just around the corner, May 4-6 in Anaheim. Below are some suggestions to help attendees ensure they register with ease, find their way around, not miss a course or special event and generally make the meeting an educational — and memorable — one.

Registering and picking up badges

  • Register online through May 6 at cdapresents.com, then pick up your badge and registration materials on-site at the eBadge Exchange counter located in Hall D of the Anaheim Convention Center. Have the barcode in your confirmation email handy, whether via your mobile device or a printed copy.
  • Plan to pick up your badge prior to 7 a.m. if you are scheduled to attend an early morning course. (Regardless of your arrival time, CDA’s goal is to get your badge into your hands as quickly as possible.)
  • Register on-site or pick up your badge at the eBadge Exchange. The on-site registration and badge pick-up hours are:
          Wednesday, May 3: 3-5 p.m.
          Thursday, May 4: 6 a.m.– 5:30 p.m.
          Friday, May 5: 6 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
          Saturday, May 6: 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Finding courses and workshops

  • Find room assignments for all courses via the CDA mobile app or the printed on-site program.
  • Avoid scheduling back-to-back courses. Allow more time in your schedule to help ensure the best possible experience.

Earning C.E. credit

  • Arrive 15 minutes early for all courses to help guarantee an available spot.
  • Scan in and out of each course. Attend all courses in full. CDA cannot issue C.E. credits for late arrivals to courses and cannot issue partial credits for partial course attendance (courses cannot overlap in time).
  • Download available course handouts right from the CDA mobile app or online at cdapresents.com through May 30. As a backup step, protect your handouts and course notes by using the in-app email feature as your data is at risk of being lost if your device runs low on storage space.
  • Verify your C.E. scans through the CDA app, on cdapresents.com or at the on-site C.E. Pavilion.
  • Watch for an email three weeks after the meeting that will provide directions for retrieving your C.E. certificates online.

Getting updates, getting around

  • Browse the activity feed in the CDA mobile app for real-time updates (about parking, transportation and more), information on special ticketed events and course schedule changes.
  • Use the interactive map in the CDA app to easily navigate the exhibit hall floor and locate specific exhibitors.

CDA Presents offers more than 175 courses and workshops, innovative tools (including many West Coast product launches) from more than 550 exhibitors and countless opportunities to network with peers, mentors and the dental team. The Board of Managers and CDA staff look forward to welcoming you to the nation’s premier dental convention.

For more information on any of the above, attendees can email CDA, call 800.232.7645 or visit cdapresents.com/anaheim2017. Also, use the CDA app to navigate the convention. Find it at cda.org/apps.
