Foundation raises thousands at Targeting Smiles Tournament

The CDA Foundation raised nearly $17,000 in June at its Targeting Smiles Sporting Clays Tournament.

The tournament, which was organized by Ann Gordon, Kathi Webb and Janet Rollofson, brought in $16,925 for the CDA Foundation and its programs through generous donations and a raffle and silent auction. Event sponsors included John Pisacane, DMD, Henry Schein, Associated Pension Consultants, Comstock Mortgage, Patterson Dental Company and Don Rollofson, DMD.

“The Targeting Smiles Sporting Clays Tournament was a tremendous success and we are pleased that so many people decided to donate money at this event for programs such as CDA Cares and the Student Loan Repayment Grant,” said Rollofson, CDA Foundation chair.

In total, 55 attendees participated in the clay-shooting tournament. Attendees included Billy Gianquinto, co-host of Charlie West's Outdoor Gazette on Fox Sports and Joe “Sep” Hendrickson, host of the award-winning California Sportsmen Radio Show on Sacramento’s CBS Sports 1140 AM.

The event was such a success that the CDA Foundation has decided to bring it back next year, Rollofson said.

“We got a lot of positive feedback and the attendees had a great time participating in the tournament, raffle and silent auction. So we’re excited to bring it back next year,” Rollofson said.
