February Journal spotlights silver diamine fluoride

In the second of a two-issue series, the February issue of the Journal of the California Dental Association continues the exploration of silver diamine fluoride. Featured are articles on how a pediatric dentist incorporated SDF into his practice; the use of SDF to care for elderly and brain failure patients; a dental program that implemented a strategy that dramatically reduced the need for caries treatment for children under general anesthesia; a retrospective analysis that investigates the relationship of topical silver fluoride treatment with radiographic changes indicative of carious lesion responses; and the chemical mechanisms of silver diamine fluoride when used as a caries arresting and preventing agent.

The Journal is an award-winning peer-reviewed scientific publication that keeps dentists up to date about scientific advances, business management strategies and new products.
