CDA Presents to offer live streaming C.E. courses


As one of the top dental conventions in the nation, CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry is a trusted source for continuing education, and that is why the way dentists can participate is being expanded.

New to CDA Presents in Anaheim will be a set of C.E. courses that will be streamed live. The live-streaming programs feature world-renowned speakers presenting in the area of restorative dentistry.

“We have assembled an amazing curriculum at CDA Presents. Thanks to our new live-streaming feature, you can now benefit from this educational opportunity even if you cannot physically attend the conference,” said Claire Tyler, DDS, member of the CDA Presents Board of Managers.

Based on the high level of interest around the topic of restorative dentistry, a Board of Managers subcommittee selected the following courses to be offered as live-streaming options at CDA Presents in Anaheim 2015.

Friday, May 1

Why Porcelain Breaks: Occlusion for the Esthetic Restorative Practice
Led by John Cranham, DDS
C.E. units: Core – 2.5
9-11:30 a.m.
This course will provide dentists with the necessary occlusal information to perform complex cosmetic and restorative procedures at a high level. Dentists will learn the anatomy and physiology of the gnathostomatic system and how to predictably design a stable, minimal-stress occlusion.

Treatment Planning the Worn Dentition
Led by John Cranham, DDS
C.E. units: Core – 2.5
1-3:30 p.m.
The aging baby boomer population presents many unique challenges. Being able to design comprehensive treatment plans that will address occlusal, esthetic and biologic issues, along with the correct material selection, will be essential to the successful restorative practice.

Saturday, May 2

Hot Topics in Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry
Led by David S. Hornbrook, DDS
C.E. units: Core – 2.5 per session
8-10:30 a.m. and continues noon-2:30 p.m.
Dr. Hornbrook will discuss new materials and techniques utilized in the anterior to optimize esthetics. Adhesive bonding agents and veneer cementation will also be covered. Attendees will understand the advantages and disadvantages of different materials, veneer preparation and cementation techniques and ceramic and adhesive options.
