CDA Presents must-know information for attendees


CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry will take place Aug. 20 to 22 at Moscone South in San Francisco. CDA Presents is expected to draw more than 14,000 dentists, dental professionals and students from across the U.S. The three-day convention will feature over 200 educational courses and 375 exhibitors demonstrating new techniques and innovative products and services for dentists.

Below is key information for attendees about the convention.

Registration

On-site registration and eBadge exchange will be available Wednesday, Aug. 19, 3-5 p.m.; Thursday, Aug. 20, 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21, 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 22, 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Grand Opening

The grand opening of the exhibit hall will take place on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 9:30 a.m. Exhibit hall hours are Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Transportation

Complimentary shuttle service is provided between Moscone South and the official CDA hotels. Shuttle information signs will be posted in the lobby of each hotel. To view the schedule and list of hotels, visit cdapresents.com.

Social Activities

The CDA Party will take place at Ruby Skye on Friday, Aug. 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets, while available, can be purchased at cdapresents.com or at the registration area at Moscone South. Ruby Skye is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco just off of Union Square and the famed theatre district.

The CDA Store is open in the Esplanade from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 and from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 22.

To download the CDA app, visit cda.org/apps. Users of the CDA app have access to event information, including easy access to schedules and speaker information, exhibitor and product listings, real-time alerts such as course availability, event photos and information on local hotels, restaurants and attractions.

The CDA Presents Social Hub is a landing page where attendees can view everything being said about the meeting on social media. The Social Hub will pull activity from various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google+ into one central location. All attendees will have to do to participate is use the #cdaSF hashtag when sharing their photos, posts and tweets. A photo contest also will be held on CDA's Facebook page. In addition, attendees can post photos with the hashtag on Instagram. The best photo posted will receive a prize from the CDA store. One winner will be chosen daily during the meeting.
