CDA Journal features bioceramic materials in vital pulp therapy

The May issue of the Journal of the California Dental Association addresses a number of general topics including the use of bioceramic materials in vital pulp therapy, which is devised to preserve and maintain vitality of pulpally involved teeth challenged by a variety of intraoral conditions. Authors discuss how conservative vital pulp therapy can provide reliable treatment options for permanent teeth diagnosed with normal pulps or reversible pulpitis. In addition, this issue covers the effects of lasers on the viability of gingival fibroblasts and a case study on a traumatic herniation of the buccal fat pad in a 3.5-year-old boy caused by an injury with a wooden stick.  To read the May CDA Journal, visit cda.org/journal or download the interactive ePub for tablet and mobile reading at cda.org/apps.
