Calling dental volunteers for CDA Cares Modesto Oct. 26-27

Walk-ins welcome

The CDA Foundation’s volunteer-run dental clinic, CDA Cares, is fast approaching and the Foundation is still in need of volunteers in clinical and nonclinical areas. Endodontists, medical triage volunteers, oral surgeons and prosthodontists are specifically needed to help make the Oct. 26-27 event at the Modesto Centre Plaza a success.

Register to volunteer by end of day Sunday, Oct. 21, at cdafoundation.org/modesto. Advance online registration is highly encouraged to ensure first-choice placement, but walk-in volunteers are also welcome. Also visit cdacares.org for volunteer FAQ, maps, parking information and more.

Longtime volunteers reflect on then and now
After six years and 13 clinics, CDA Cares, the volunteer-run dental program hosted by the CDA Foundation, is preparing for a return to Modesto, Calif. — site of the inaugural clinic in 2012. And while every CDA Cares can be considered successful in terms of the number of patients served — 1,950 on average — and the number of no-cost dental services provided, longtime volunteers say a lot has changed since the first clinic took shape in the Central Valley city.
