ADA Foundation accepting grant applications

The ADA Foundation (ADAF) is now accepting applications for its Semi-annual Grants Program: Access to Care, which supports nonprofit organizations whose charitable activities provide access to care and dental homes to the underserved. The ADAF defines the dental home as "the ongoing relationship between the dentist who is the primary dental care provider and the patient, which includes comprehensive oral health care, beginning before age one, and continuing throughout the patient's lifetime, with appropriate referral as necessary."

Eligible organizations include U.S. based organizations exempt from taxation under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code. The ADAF Access to Care Grants are one-year grants up to $10,000. Funds may be applied to cover costs such as, but not limited to:

  • Oral health care.
  • Clinic supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Salary-specific to work on this grant project.
  • Outreach to recruit dentist participation in program activities.

All expense items must have a clear, direct impact on oral health care and a direct link to the
dental home.

The deadline to apply is July 29. For more information about this grant, visit adafoundation.org/en/how-to-apply/access-to-care or contact Tracey Schilligo, grants manager, at schilligot@ada.org.
