A look into international restorative dentistry

New to CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry in Anaheim on April 11-13 will be an International Symposium for Dental Learning featuring Takashi Watanabe, DDS, and Kiyokazu Minami, DDS, of Japan.

Watanabe is a clinical professor and assistant director of continuing dental education at Meikai University School of Dentistry and president of the Japan Academy of Clinical Dentistry. Minami, former chair of the Academy of Clinical Dentistry, lectures for continuing education programs at Meikai University and Asahi University in Japan.

Lecturing on restorative dentistry in Japan, Minami will be speaking on Thursday, April 11, and Watanabe on Saturday, April 13. The courses will offer attendees information on:

  • an alternative philosophy and treatment modalities;
  • different cultural nuances in the delivering of dentistry; and
  • the fostering of international camaraderie and relationships in an international setting.

“The CDA Presents Board of Managers is always striving to find the best speakers to help educate our members, and it is a great honor to have Drs. Watanabe and Minami lecturing at the Anaheim show,” said Chair of the CDA Presents Board of Managers Del Brunner, DDS.

The lecture will be in Japanese, and there will be live simultaneous English interpretation via headphones.
