Local Public Health Department Orders Related to COVID-19, Flu

Below is a list of local public health department orders related to COVID-19 vaccination and masking and to mandatory influenza vaccination which affect dental practices within their respective jurisdiction.  Read your county’s order carefully to determine its applicability to your dental practice.

Alameda County and Berkeley, Influenza Vaccination Order, effective each yearly influenza season as of Nov. 21, 2020 until it is rescinded, superseded or amended.

Madera County, Influenza Vaccination Requirement for Healthcare Workers, effective each yearly influenza season (Nov. 1 to March 31) as of Nov. 1, 2022 until it is rescinded, superseded or amended.

Pasadena City, 2023 Health Care COVID-19 Vaccination Order2023 Order Requiring Wearing of Face Masks by Personnel, Patients, Clients and Visitors in Health Care SettingsMandatory Annual Influenza Immunization Program for Health Care Personnel, effective Nov. 1, 2023 and each yearly influenza season (Nov. 1 to April 30) until it is rescinded, superseded or amended.

Placer County, Influenza Vaccination or Masking,  effective yearly each influenza season (Nov. 1 through April 30) as of Oct. 14, 2022

San Francisco, 2023 Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination of Health Care Personnel 2023 Mandatory Masking of Personnel in Health Care and Jail Settings

San Joaquin County, Influenza Vaccination of All Health-Care Workers (HCW) During Flu Season, effective yearly each influenza season (Nov. 1 through April 30) as of Sept. 30, 2021.

San Luis Obispo County, Mandatory Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccination of Health Care Workers, effective each influenza season starting Nov. 1 to April 30 of the following year, unless amended or rescinded.

Santa Clara County, Influenza Vaccination Order 

Yolo County, Influenza Vaccination Ordereffective Nov. 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024.
