CDA virtual events - March 2021

Practice owners and dental team members can now look forward to exploring new education opportunities year-round through CDA’s new virtual event series.

Launched this month, the series lets dental teams learn, connect with peers and earn continuing education from any remote location at convenient times that fit their schedules.

Providing ongoing education opportunities for California dental professionals has been a long-standing priority for CDA. The new program supplements the lectures offered at CDA’s in-person conventions and will better serve dental teams who find it easier to maintain their C.E. requirements through online learning channels.

A new calendar of events will be released each month, including webinars, virtual education opportunities led by CDA staff and dentistry experts. While many events are offered at no cost as an exclusive CDA member benefit, other events will be available to members and non-members for a fee.

Course offerings for every member of the dental team will cover teledentistry, advocacy, wellness and a host of other topics.

Here’s the March lineup:

Teledentistry: A New Era for Oral Health

This overview of teledentistry in the oral health industry provides specific recommendations for communicating with and providing care to patients remotely and offers considerations for using teledentistry to enhance dental practices even after the pandemic.

Meet the Experts: Advocacy and Public Affairs

CDA’s Advocacy and Public Affairs team lead a panel discussion for members to learn about CDA’s advocacy work on behalf of the profession and patients, including current areas of focus such as COVID-19 vaccine administration.

Learning Lab: Advocating for Your Profession

Attendees will learn more about CDA’s current advocacy efforts and how to get involved in grassroots activities that amplify overall advocacy efforts for the dental profession.

Wellness Series: Avoiding Burnout, sessions 1-3

In this 3-part series, attendees will gain the proper tools and techniques to counter stress and burnout in the dental office and eliminate bad habits to improve team engagement and patient care.

Events are recorded and will be available on-demand. Explore course details for more information and register today.
