From regulatory compliance requirements to office celebrations, CDA has curated this list of things to do before the end of the year to help you and your team focus your efforts in preparation for 2021.

Also take a few minutes to review laws and regulations that go into effect Jan. 1, 2021, to ensure you remain compliant. Key changes to be aware of include:
As a California employer, you must provide legally required sexual harassment prevention training to your employees by Jan 1, 2021. A free online training from the Department of Fair Employment and Housing satisfies the requirement that employers with five or more employees provide training of at least one or two hours to their employees.
Newly hired employees must complete the training within six months of hire or promotion. All employees must complete training every two years, at minimum, following the initial training.
End the year by supporting the CDA Foundation and making a difference. Even through this challenging time, the Foundation is actively working to continue its mission of bringing health, hope and happiness to others.

The dental profession faced unique challenges this year due to the pandemic, so taking the time to recognize your employees for their hard work can help them feel accomplished and boost morale as your team prepares for the year ahead.
While a typical holiday party in the office is not practical this year, there are ways to bring your team together without compromising their safety. Work with your team on choosing a creative way to celebrate such as a virtual party or gift exchange.
This is usually a time of festivities and social gatherings with family and friends, but most holiday celebrations pose a risk in the pandemic environment. Finding ways to limit your holiday activities may be difficult, but it’s important to consider any risk factors within your community and family.
