Minimum Wage and Paid Sick Leave Ordinances by City/County

Individual cities and counties across California have passed local ordinances relating to minimum wage and sick leave laws — with eligibility rules varying from city to city. Check with local city government as to whether any local minimum wage ordinances may apply to employees in your practice. Periodically check local websites as rates in these cities could change at any time.

October 20, 2022: EEOC Publishes Updated “Know Your Rights” Poster

The United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) released the “Know Your Rights” poster. This new poster replaces the previous “EEO is the Law” poster which employers are required to display. The EEOC explains that the updated “Know Your Rights” poster is available in both English and Spanish, and will be available in additional languages at a later date.  CDA Members should print and affix the new poster over the “EEO is the Law” poster contained in the 2021-2022 Required Poster Set. 

Offering a Discount Dental Plan in the Practice

This resource will introduce you to the basics of offering an in-house discount plan. These in-house discount plans offer patients some form of dental coverage or benefit to offset their out-of-pocket cost making it more likely that they will accept a treatment plan. Offering an in-house discount plan can assist with attracting new patients and help retain existing patients, particularly those patients without any form of dental coverage.
