Much of the California economy is now open, but while COVID-19 safety restrictions have been lifted for fully vaccinated individuals in most indoor places, dental practices in California must continue to comply with guidance and regulations related to health care settings. Both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the California Department of Public Health require face coverings and social distancing in health care settings.

CDA Practice Support has developed the California State Reopening Guide for Dental Practices to help dentists and dental teams understand their responsibilities to maintain a safe environment and communicate with patients about continued COVID-19 safety precautions in the dental office.
