Advocacy led by CDA is currently underway to have state lab testing statutes expanded to include dentists so that they can apply and obtain Laboratory Field Services (LFS) licensure as soon as possible.
Once a pathway to laboratory licensure is established, additional information on reporting mandates around rapid COVID-19 tests will be provided, including certification requirements to report testing data electronically through the California Reportable Disease Information Exchange (CalREDIE) system. To review the anticipated information that will be required for reporting of all COVID-19 tests, please refer to page 10 of the ADA Testing Toolkit.
CDA will continue to keep dentists updated on these requirements on this page and in the CDA Newsroom.
