Get Ready to Learn: CDA experts will cover the state of dentistry, HR compliance and more in Anaheim this May

CDA Presents in Anaheim May 18-20 will feature opportunities to learn from CDA’s experts and earn C.E. credit. 

This spring at CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry in Anaheim, join CDA’s analysts in person as they moderate and participate in panel discussions, addressing questions about the current state of dentistry, the business side of dentistry and issues affecting the mental health and wellness of dental teams. 

Here are just a few of the opportunities attendees will have to hear from CDA’s experts at the convention. You can sign up for these and other courses when you register to attend CDA Presents. For your convenience, some of these courses offer C.E. credit. 

  • Now + Next in Dentistry: A Panel Discussion. Business professionals and dentists in a variety of career phases and paths will discuss the current state of dentistry as well as look at the technological and societal changes that will impact dentistry in the future. This course will be particularly helpful for dentists in the early stages of their careers with industry experts offering valuable career guidance. 

Friday, May 19, 9–10:30 a.m. 

  • Burnout and Anxiety in Dentistry: A Mental Health and Wellness Panel Discussion. Burnout and anxiety are becoming more frequent among health care workers. A panel of dental professionals will participate in this dialogue on how burnout and anxiety can impact patient care and why maintaining work-life balance is important for wellness. Learn how burnout can manifest itself in the dentist and team and gain tools to address it.

  • Congrats on Your Promotion to Office Manager! Now What? CDA analysts who once worked as office managers and now develop resources for members and answer their questions will share all the things they wish they knew when they were office managers. They’ll also address key leadership, human resources management and financial and dental benefit roles of the office manager.

  • How To Be a Front Office Communication Superstar. Two of CDA’s expert analysts, former front-office managers, will teach this insightful course designed to help dental office staff identify and support effective patient communication strategies. Discover positive strategies to help the front-office coordinator overcome the most common and difficult patient barriers.

  • HR Compliance Crash Course. Dozens of employment laws have been introduced over the past few years. Get up to speed on these employment laws and learn about current human resources and staffing trends from CDA’s employment experts and HR for Health, a CDA-endorsed service.
