Quick Summary:
More “meetup” than meeting, these first events in CDA’s “Now + Next in Dentistry” series break away from the traditional meeting format to bring dentists together for learning, support, activities and conversation. Dentists who attend "Mapping Your Career" can expect to learn about the greater dentistry landscape and financial forecasting to inform important long-term career decisions, as well as all the practice ownership options — while enjoying activities and earning C.E. in a casual environment. Register online or on-site.

When dentists are launching their careers or navigating the early years of practice, they are better positioned to achieve their vision of success when they understand the current state of the profession and have a view of where it’s heading.

CDA will host two in-person gatherings in San Diego and Ontario in late March that are especially geared toward early-career dentists who want to define or refine their career goals, but dentists in any stage of practice with an eye on the future are invited to attend and benefit from expert guidance and networking opportunities in a casual environment — all while earning C.E.

Interested dentists can register online or on-site.

Meet up for guidance, support and networking in upbeat settings

More “meetup” than meeting, these first events in CDA’s “Now + Next in Dentistry” series break away from the traditional meeting format in both location and structure to bring dentists together for learning, support, activities and conversation.

Dentists who attend “Now + Next in Dentistry: Mapping Your Career!” can expect to learn about the greater dentistry landscape and financial forecasting to inform important long-term career decisions, as well as all the practice ownership options. For example: Would you rather be an associate, an educator or work in a public health setting? Should you even own a practice, and how do you determine the best fit?

Near-future concerns, such as budgeting for life as a new dentist, will also be explored, including how different types of debt impact your options, how to avoid common financial mistakes and how to create an achievable financial plan.

Specifically, participants will leave the event understanding:

  • How the current state of dentistry impacts everything from leadership to management to enable the provision of excellent patient care.
  • What the future trends of the profession are and how they may impact a dentist’s chosen career path.
  • The various career paths for dentists and how the early-career dentist can get established in any path.
