Making a planned gift is a great way to show your support for the CDA Foundation and its mission while accommodating your personal, philanthropic and estate planning goals.
The mission of the CDA Foundation is to improve the oral and overall health of all Californians by supporting the dental profession in its efforts to meet community needs. Having a long-lasting positive impact on the smiles in our communities is paramount to our organization.
Have you considered what your own legacy will be?
Consider sharing ours, by including the Foundation in your estate planning.
Making a planned gift is a great way to show your support for the CDA Foundation and its mission while accommodating your personal, philanthropic and estate planning goals. Support for the Foundation may be included in your will or living trust that leaves a portion of your estate to the Foundation.
If you’re considering donating part or all your estate, the following benefits may help you decide:
- As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation, the CDA Foundation is exempt from both income and estate taxes.
- The Foundation will receive 100% of the account’s value after you die.
- Your estate will not pay income taxes on the asset distribution. Instead, you’ll receive a deduction on the contribution, which can offset estate taxes.
We encourage you to speak with an estate planning attorney if you wish to support the Foundation through a planned gift.
Additionally, when you choose to include the CDA Foundation in your estate plans, we kindly request that you inform us. When you inform us of your request, we have the opportunity to express our deepest gratitude and ensure that your intentions are fully understood and acknowledged. If you are comfortable doing so, please consider contacting Marissa Allen, Foundation Manager, to confidentially share the details of your planned gift. We would be delighted to discuss any preferences you have regarding recognition or the use of your gift, ensuring that it aligns with your vision and philanthropic goals.
