TDSC.com, Powered by Henry Schein will officially launch in late October 2020 and will continue to offer everyday low pricing and expand its offerings for dental supplies and small equipment to dental association members.
The California Dental Association is pleased to announce eAssist Dental Solutions as a CDA Endorsed Program that offers dentists a valuable billing service, enhancing timely claims payment from dental plans.
In light of the current coronavirus pandemic, the May and June issues of the CDA Journal were combined to provide not only scientific articles on oral health but to also act as a directional signpost pointing readers to helpful and timely information on COVID-19.
The California Dental Association is distributing approximately 25,000 personal protective equipment kits to licensed dentists in California. The critical supply of masks, face shields and gowns is from California’s pandemic response stockpile and was made available to CDA by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. The state of California procured large supplies of surgical masks and other PPE, which are in short supply through traditional, commercial distribution channels, by contracting directly with manufacturers and is now making this supply available to health care providers statewide.

Given the fiscal situation of California, CDA stands ready to work with the governor’s administration and the state Legislature to find sustainable ways to continue supporting critical oral health access programs such as the Medi-Cal Dental Program and the CalHealthCares Student Loan Repayment Program. One of the significant lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic is to not overlook and underfund public health programs, as we know the cost of doing so is tremendous.
