Significant new employment laws and changes to existing laws took effect in 2020 and 2021 in California, but dental practices have been focused primarily on navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and may have missed critical updates that affect day-to-day business. Noncompliance could put employers at risk of penalties and potential lawsuits.
CDA’s Employment Practices Analyst Michelle Corbo will present a C.E.-eligible webinar Aug. 23 that Corbo says will help dentist-employers “get their HR back on track.”
“I’ll identify the new and essential legal rules that apply to California employees at every stage of the employment life cycle,” said Corbo, who has supported CDA members for over 15 years. “Once we’ve identified these rules, you’ll be able to align your HR practices with California’s payroll, hiring and wage and hour rules.”
