Dentists can use CDA's new Practice Health Check to examine practice overhead costs this summer

July 06, 2022 2898

Every quarter, CDA publishes a Practice Health Check focusing on a different topic related to the business side of dentistry. Managing overhead costs is the focus during the third quarter of 2022. CDA members are invited to take the Q3 Practice Health Check consisting of just three questions.

Summertime living should be easy, but the stress of rapid inflation is no breeze. Especially considering this summer’s financial climate, it is critical to have a system for managing your practice’s overhead expenses to help offset the impact of inflation.

Every quarter, CDA publishes a Practice Health Check focusing on a different topic related to the business side of dentistry. Controlling practice overhead costs is the focus during the third quarter of 2022.

CDA members are invited to take the Q3 Practice Health Check consisting of just three questions:

  1. Have you evaluated the practice’s spending and analyzed your overhead costs?
  2. Have you analyzed your practice’s collection rate?
  3. Have you reviewed the practice’s variable expenses and evaluated ways to reduce costs?

For guidance on complying with continuing education requirements, online dentist license renewals and California’s electronic-prescribing mandate, start the Practice Health Check now and follow the links to additional CDA resources to help you comply.

CDA launched the quarterly Practice Health Check in 2021. Members can review all Practice Health Checks online.

The quarterly Practice Health Check is a benefit of CDA membership. Members may login to their CDA account to access this tool.
