Going West with Wine
Unwind with Roxanne Langer of LadySomm in this virtual wine tasting and panel featuring some of California’s most notable wineries.
The tasting begins in one of the oldest winemaking regions in California — Amador County. Comé Lague of La Mesa Vineyards will guide you through a tasting of the newly released sparkling rosé made by méthode traditionelle.
Next, travel to Portola Valley and enjoy a pinot noir from Neely Wine’s Hidden Block Vineyard. With its brooding aromas of black cherry, black tea and cedar and showing classic flavors of bramble, clove, leather and a hint of cocoa powder, this wine is popular among wine connoisseurs.
The tasting finishes with a cabernet sauvignon-barrel select with Ray Smith Indigené Cellars — one of the few Black winemakers in the U.S. This award-winning wine has been described by wine enthusiasts as an “expressive perfumed cherry nose with ripe blackberry and mocha palate.”
Cost: $150. Price includes three bottles of wine and shipping.
To ensure your shipment arrives on time, you must sign up for the tasting by Friday, April 30.
Learn how to make your own hand-crafted cocktails in this interactive mixology class. A professional mixologist will teach you how to make modern versions of a mint gimlet, blackberry paloma and spring smash. Extra time provided between each drink will allow you to enjoy your creation and socialize.
When: Friday, May 14, 6-7 p.m.
Cost: $95. Price includes supplies and tools.
You must sign up for the Cocktail Social Hour by Friday, April 30, to ensure your package arrives on time.
