Quick Summary:

To help attendees make the most of their experience at CDA Presents, the event team has put together a tips list covering all the need-to-knows about course registration and attendance, connecting to the virtual platform, exhibit-hall engagement, obtaining C.E. credit and more.

CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry, the premiere continuing education destination for dentists and dental professionals across California and the nation, is happening May 13-16. The virtual convention is bringing more than 60 C.E. courses from leading speakers, an interactive exhibit hall featuring exclusive deals and real-time chat, as well as fun social events right to dentists and their teams, wherever they are, in a safe and engaging format.

To help attendees make the most of their experience, the event team has put together a tips list covering all the need-to-knows before, during and after CDA Presents.

Before and during the convention

Registration and course attendance

  • Register in advance for any courses that include a fee. These courses are identified in the online schedule planner and include the two required C.E. courses “California Dental Practice Act” and “Infection Control” and the TDIC seminar “Calibrate Your Risk Radar.”
  • Arrive on time for each course and stay for the entire session to ensure you receive C.E. credit. Courses start promptly.
  • Check your confirmation email for notice of any course cancellations or changes in course start and end times.
  • Watch for a new confirmation email on May 11 that will contain a link to the CDA Presents virtual platform.

Technology and connectivity

  • Choose the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser to run the virtual platform. You can download both at no cost. The Safari browser will not work with the virtual platform.
  • Check your system access in the virtual platform each time you log on and before each class. Also test the audio from your speakers. Logging in early will help ensure you troubleshoot any issues before courses start.
  • Get additional tips for running the platform through the digital “briefcase” in the platform. You can also use the briefcase to plan your day and save resources for future access.
  • Turn off any pop-up blockers and close unneeded applications or tabs.

Exhibit hall engagement

  • Explore the exhibit hall, shop for products and services and special deals, engage with representatives and ask them all your questions at any time during the convention.
  • Take note of the dedicated exhibit hall hours for the best exhibit hall experience: Thursday and Friday, May 13-14: 10 a.m.-noon and 4:30-5:30 p.m.; Saturday, May 15: 9:30-11 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Access more expertise through free Corporate Forum education programs and through product, service and technology demonstrations in the Vendor Showcase Theater auditorium.

After the convention

C.E. credit

  • Watch for an email with instructions for obtaining your C.E. certificates. The C.E. transcripts will be available approximately three weeks after the convention.

On-demand courses

  • Access on-demand courses as early as the first Monday after the convention. These courses are included with your CDA Presents registration fee, and you’ll have access to them through June 15.

Attendees who need additional virtual support during the convention can contact CDA by email or by phone at 800.232.7645.
