Description:

Job Purpose  

As part of the Underwriting team, the Commercial Lines Processor is responsible for performing data entry of all TDIC policyholder information and changes into the database. This position oversees quality control for processes and forms to ensure TDIC system’s data integrity, renewals and systems.

Essential Functions – must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation

 

  • Performs alpha numeric data entry for all new insurance applications, coverage endorsements, profile changes, cancellations & reinstatements into our Guidewire system.
  • Maintains 95% or higher accuracy on all entry
  • Prints production forms from nightly processing and performs quality control, following up on anything that doesn’t meet standards.
  • Reviews Multi-Line discount reports for all lines of business and applies/removes discounts as appropriate.
  • Routes incoming mail from physical and e-mail underwriting inboxes, at least three times per day.
  • Attends related meetings as directed by Vice President/ Underwriting Managers.

Required Education, Licenses & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience of alpha numeric data entry.
  • Critical Thinking:  applying analysis, creativity, resilience and logic to reach optimal outcomes; developing and implementing solutions.
  • Communication: being consistently approachable, open to feedback direct and truthful; building trust and authentic professional relationships.
  • Adaptation: appropriately adapting behavior to changing conditions; modifying approach to succeed with new situations and timelines.
  • Proficient computer skills, including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Preferred Education, Licenses & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Finance, Insurance or other related fields.
  • Experience in alpha numeric data entry in an insurance or mortgage environment.
  • Experience using an Guidewire or other insurance database program.
  • Familiarity with insurance forms and processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology and concepts preferred.
  • Insurance courses/certifications preferred.

 

Working Conditions   

 

  • Constantly reviewing and analyzing data on a computer screen and physical documents.
  • Frequently maintains a stationary position.
  • Occasionally moves around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
