CalDPAC is the political advocacy arm of the California Dental Association. We are on the job, helping CDA protect dentists and their patients from misguided public policies, unfair laws and over-regulation, which can lower the quality of dental care.
CalDPAC is run by and for dentists.
CalDPAC has become one of California's top-four political action committees - and the political voice of CDA.
CalDPAC supports legislators who believe dentistry is an essential part of a health-care system that must allow dentists to provide the best care possible to the most Californians by providing a small-business-friendly environment, necessary patient protections and patient choice.
CalDPAC is committed to helping establish solid relationships between our members and their elected representatives. In doing so, we regularly send members to district events, by doing matching funds or purchasing tables so that large groups of dentists can participate.
CalDPAC is bi-partisan
CalDPAC is not the only political action committee in the state. Professionals throughout California join political action committees to make their contributions count. Physicians, attorneys, teachers, nurses, insurance companies, and labor unions amass million-dollar PACs to help support legislators who believe in their issues.
CalDPAC helped elect two dentists to the California State Legislature - Senator Sam Aanestad, D.D.S. and Assemblymember Bill Emmerson, D.D.S. Without your support of CalDPAC, this would not have been possible. Having dentists in both the upper and lower houses of the legislature is invaluable to the profession of dentistry.
