In light of recent public health guidance on COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel CDA’s convention in Anaheim this May. All attendee registration fees and exhibitor booth fees will be refunded and CDA is offering members online and audio courses at no cost.
Continuing education requirements extended to September 30, 2020
If your license expires between March 31 and June 30, 2020, you now have until September 30 to satisfy any waived C.E. requirements, due to an extension from the California Department of Consumer Affairs.

To support members and their dental teams in obtaining C.E., online and audio learning options are available at no cost through June 16, 2020.
You will need a Zoom account to access courses once enrolled.
CDA is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.
CDA designates this activity for the specified number continuing education credits.

CDA Brightbox is the name of the California Dental Association’s online learning platform. Our aim is to provide dental professionals a brilliant way to take part in C.E.-eligible education from anywhere at any time.
CDA has chosen a new platform so that all our online learning courses, including those offered at CDA Presents, can be accessed in one easy place. This change is intended to make it more convenient to log in, participate in online classes and obtain C.E. credits needed for license renewals.
All previously purchased online courses have been transferred and there is a 180-day window before they expire. If you have issues logging in to access your courses or need assistance, email CDApresents.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Opportunity to earn C.E. credit for the California Dental Practice Act, Infection Control and Treating Young Kids Everyday (TYKE) courses will be available for 180 days after purchase and with a passing quiz score of 80% or better.

The deadline to request C.E. credits for CDA Presents Anaheim in 2019 is July 1, 2020. After these dates, no further C.E. requests for these conventions will be accepted .
Opportunity to earn C.E. credit for all future CDA Presents audio courses is available for one year after the convention date with submission of a summary that meets proper requirements.
To register for the course, you must login to cda.org or create an account. Enroll in the course from the link provided and you will be given a confirmation email and information on how to access the course.
Login to your account on cda.org. Click on "My Online Courses" on the dashboard to view your active courses.
Please make sure you save the Zoom link for fastest access to the webinar and make sure you have a profile through Zoom. Google Chrome is the best operating system to access the live courses.
To earn C.E. credits, you must come back to the webinar course up to 7 days after the event to fill out the survey. If the survey is not completed, you will not be granted C.E. credits. Any early survey submissions will be reset. Once the survey is completed, C.E. is granted in 24-48 hours.
Prepare a written summary of the course and submit it online at cda.org/cerequest. To meet C.E. eligibility requirements, the summary format must be at least two to three academic paragraphs for every one hour of course material. Each paragraph must be a minimum of six complete sentences, and bullet points will not be accepted. The format will be verified and returned if incorrect.

You do not need to submit your C.E. transcripts with your license renewal unless requested to do so by the Board or as part of an audit process.
You must retain records of your C.E. transcripts for three renewal cycles (six years).
You must pass an exam with 80% or better, and you have two attempts for each course.
Unless otherwise notified, your C.E. transcripts will be available 24–48 hours after each course completion. Visit cda.org, log in to My Account and select Show C.E./Transcripts. If you need assistance, call CDA at 800.232.7645 during business hours, Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.
CDA keeps all past transcript information. You may access your C.E. any time by logging in to cda.org. Once logged in to My Account, select the timeframe for which you would like to see C.E. transcripts.
CDA online learning programs and CDA Presents audio recordings are licensed solely for the purchaser’s own personal, noncommercial use to receive C.E. units for license renewal in the allotted timeframe or for the use of the individual’s reference to course materials. Any other use of the recordings or programs, including public or enrolled broadcasting, is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of CDA. C.E. credits must be obtained by a California Dental Board approved provider. Please refer to the Dental Board’s website for a listing of approved providers that offer online C.E. courses.
New continuing education requirements were adopted in April 2010.
