Your holiday shopping can benefit the CDA Foundation

Online shoppers who also enjoy donating to charitable organizations can do both — at no extra cost — through the CDA Foundation’s partnership with AmazonSmile.

AmazonSmile, a website operated by Amazon, has the same products and prices as Amazon.com, but donates 0.5 percent of the price of eligible purchases to charitable organizations chosen by the AmazonSmile customer. The CDA Foundation is one of these organizations. The shopping experience is identical to Amazon.com and there is no cost to the charitable organization or to AmazonSmile customers.

To participate, simply go to smile.amazon.com, sign up and pick your charity. The CDA Foundation spends 91 cents of every donor dollar raised on direct care programs. Every $100 given to support the CDA Cares volunteer dental events provides $1,100 in treatment.

Hospital systems have been critical supporters of CDA Cares since 2013. Every year, due to the lack of effective and adequately funded government safety net programs, thousands of individuals seek treatment for dental pain and infection in hospital emergency rooms, compounding an already strained system.
