Top speakers headlining CDA Presents

Some of dentistry’s most captivating speakers will be headlining CDA Presents in Anaheim, April 11-13, with innovative lectures and educational workshops. Following are some of the presenters.

Kenneth A. Malament, DDS, clinical professor at Tufts University in postgraduate prosthodontics, will be lecturing on decision-making in dentistry and integrating esthetic dentistry into a practice.

M. Nader Sharifi, DDS, MS, a fellow of the American College of Dentists and a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, will be lecturing on improving partial and impression techniques.

Dennis P. Tarnow, DDS, clinical professor of periodontology and director of implant education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, will be lecturing on decision-making in dentistry.

DeWitt C. Wilkerson, DMD, director of dental medicine and a senior lecturer at the Dawson Academy, will lecture on the principles of occlusion and lead a workshop on key principles of trial equilibration on diagnostic models.

Corky Willhite, DDS, FAGD, FAACD, fellow of the AGD and the American College of Dentists, will lead a workshop on how to make restorations look great and a lecture on the esthetic zone ratio method of smile analysis and design.

David A. Garber, DMD, one of the internationally recognized multidisciplinary educators well known as “Team Atlanta,” will lecture on the escalating public demand for functionality and esthetics by integrating innovative restorative systems with implants and restoratively driven periodontics.

Kiyokazu Minami, DDS, who has maintained a private practice in Osaka, Japan, since 1990 and is the former chair of the Academy of Clinical Dentistry, will lecture as part of the International Symposia on treating cases of occlusal destruction with full mouth reconstruction and considerations for natural teeth and anterior implant esthetic restoration.

Takashi Watanabe, DDS, maintains a private practice in Iwaki, Fukushima in Japan, and is a clinical professor and assistant director of continuing education at Meikai University School of Dentistry. Watanabe will lecture as part of the International Symposia on multidisciplinary treatment approaches to complicated malocclusion cases and clinical applications of orthodontic treatment in the esthetic zone.

Joseph A. Blaes, DDS, chief editor of Dental Economics magazine, will lecture on how to make dentistry fun, easy and exciting through developing communication skills that help quickly establish rapport within the practice.

Charles Blair, DDS, chief executive officer of Dr. Charles Blair & Associates Inc. located in North Carolina, will lecture on how a doctor and staff should approach optimizing a perio program.

Stephen J. Chu, DMD, MSD, CDT, clinical associate professor and director of esthetic education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Department of Prosthodontics, will lecture on predictable diagnosis and treatment of clinical crown and gingival architecture discrepancies.

Lisa F. Harper-Mallonee, BSDH, MPH, RD, LD, associate professor specializing in nutrition at the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene, Texas A&M University System Health Science Center and Baylor College of Dentistry, will lecture on probiotics, supplements and food fads, and the impact of dietary choices.

Kelli S. Vrla, CSP, BBA, BA, who speaks on the topic of leadership, will lecture on how to establish a good work-life balance and to eliminate time-wasting.

Victoria L. Wallace, CDA, RDA, LDA, lectures on clinical procedures and dental team success. At CDA Presents, she will lead lectures on understanding the chemistry behind adhesive dentistry and whitening teeth the right way.
