Ride to benefit CDA Foundation

The 7th annual Ken Sanford Memorial Motorcycle & Bicycle Ride to benefit the CDA Foundation is scheduled Sept. 3-6 in the eastern Sierra Nevada.

Participants can ride through beautiful mountain passes — Sonora, Ebbetts Pass, Monitor Pass and Carson — while raising money for the Foundation and its two flagship programs, CDA Cares and the Student Loan Repayment Grant.

In addition, continuing education courses are being offered during the event, which is being held at the Topaz Lodge and Casino in Gardnerville, Nev. Other activities include mountain biking and dual sport rides, water sports on Topaz Lake, fishing on the Walker River and hiking.

Ken Sanford, DDS, was one of the original organizers of the first motorcycle ride in 2009. The event was renamed in his honor after his death the following year.
