A series of free webinars on various aspects of the recent HIPAA/HITECH Omnibus Rule will be launched next month. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) are co-sponsoring the 90-minute webinars that are specifically designed for small health care providers, with a focus on practical strategies for implementing the changes within a small clinical practice.
The virtual sessions are scheduled for June 14, June 28, July 17 and July 26, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time. The following topics will be discussed:

- Drill down on the Omnibus Rule changes to the Privacy Rule - Friday, June 28
- Breach and Enforcement under the Omnibus Rule - Wednesday, July 17
